Little Church is an
opportunity for parents to
enjoy mass, while children
learn their faith. Sundays
during the 11:00am Mass,
children 3-6 years of age
(exceptions can be made)
have the chance to interact
with other children and join
in on the activities
provided. We have arts and
crafts, outdoor games,
morning movie days, and
attend church as a class.
This is a great beginning
for your child’s path in
their spiritual life and
prepares them for the 1st
Communion program.
Elementary
Classes for grades 1-8 are
held on Sundays,
9:15-10:30am. Sessions are
taught by trained volunteer
catechists. Parents are
asked to offer their
participation as telephone
chairpersons, classroom
helpers, supply assistants,
traffic monitors or office
aids.
1st Holy Communion
Preparation for First Holy
Communion and Reconciliation
is a three year process,
Generally children begin in
the First Grade. However, we
have first year classes
beginning in other grades.
All students are placed in
age and peer group classes.
Our first goal is to make
clear the relationship of
the Sacrament to the child’s
life.
Baptism for Older Children
This is a family-centered
process. Our Students are
Baptized a t the conclusion
of their first year of
religious formation. Baptism
for a ll students in grades
1-8 takes plac on Easter
Vigil (Holy Saturday). This
is a formal conclusion of
their first year of
religious education. The
following year the students
will go on to receive the
Sacraments of Reconciliation
and Holy Communion.

LIFE TEEN
Saint Hilary’s LIFE TEEN is
a ministry who believes that
Eucharistic based ministry
has the power to transform
teens, transform parishes,
and transform culture.
Through relevant teaching
and relational ministry, we
aim to bring teens closer to
christ. High School age
teens can participate in the
age-appropriate faith
opportunities such as:
Youth Mass
The Life Teen Mass that
takes place every Sunday at
4:30pm. It is the core of
the program providing teens
and their families with a
liturgy geared toward their
spiritual needs. The Life
Teen Mass requires a full
and active participation of
the entire community. The
Mass, homily and music are
specifically geared to the
teens. Teens are involved in
the Mass in the different
ministries at the Mass
specifically; Lectors,
Ushers, and Altar-Servers.
LIFE Nights
After the 4:30PM Mass on
Sundays we gather to grow
deeper into our faith in our
Church Hall. Through
engaging sharing of faith
led by trained Core Members
and Youth Ministers, we
attempt to lead our youth
closer to the faith.
Bible Study
Every Tuesday at 7pm in the
Lounge, we exegetically
(using the
explanation-application
model) go over the readings
for the upcoming Sunday. By
doing this, we hope to help
our teens develop a greater
understanding of Salvation
History in relation to their
lives today.
